Every year on the second Sunday of July all Russian fishermen celebrate their professional holiday. Murmansk is a founder of this holiday. It was Murmansk, where the first fisherman’s day in June 1964 was held, and that day became nation-wide later.

On this day, even despite the bad weather, at the venues of all districts of the city there are festivals, theatrical performances with the participation of Neptune, sports competitions, humorous contests, fairs. Every year the festival becomes more spectacular, new traditions appear, the program includes new types of events.

The highlight of the festival and present for citizens and guests becomes a traditional concert at Five Corners square with the participation of famous artists.
And if it starts raining, it does not matter, it's an excuse to hold a parade of umbrellas!

Fisherman's Day is one of the landmark events of our favorite short and unpredictable polar summer!
