Exhibition "Murmansk is the capital of Russian Arctic"
October 22, 2014 in the Murmansk regional local history museum (Murmansk, Lenin ave., 90) a personal exhibition of sculptor Semyon Platonov will be opened.
Semyon Platonov - is a native of Murmansk, now lives and works in St. Petersburg, the head of the creative association of sculptors "Round workshop" (St. Petersburg), curator of the gallery "North-7"(base of Contemporary Art, St. Petersburg), a member of the Novosibirsk creative public organization "Artel" since 2010, a Member of the Union of Artists of Russia. Works in tandem with the creative group "Research Institute of Arts" since 2012.
Works of S. Platonov, presented at the exhibitions:
- A Monument to interior ministry members, Ulyanovsk, 2011
- A monument "Waiting", Murmansk, 2011
- A monument to Border guards of the Arctic, Murmansk, 2012
At this moment the sculptor is working on a project of the monument "The royal family - the Holy Royal Martyrs Nicholas, Alex, Alexandra, Olga, Tatiana, Maria and Anastasia". The sculptural sketch will also be presented at the exhibition.
